Maggie's Kitchen Tails - Dog Treat Recipes and Puppy Tales to Love

Our book brings to you over 40 tried and original tested recipes inspired by our need to find healthy recipes for our dogs and ones to share with yours. Some are accompanied with short stories that are from our own experiences with the dogs in the lives of the three authors. Donations to rescue foundations are made from the sell of this book.

Meet Maggie Anne. She was rescued from the Humane Society in Silverdale, Washington at the age of eight weeks and has captured our hearts in every way. We are Doug and Mamie Adkins. Because our Maggie was at first difficult to feed, she became the inspiration to bring to you healthy dog food recipes and to share our stories of the adventures of helping an abused puppy return to a world where families love one another.

Another author, Martha Char Love, has joined us in this project. She has an adorable Shih Tzu grand-dog named Momo who has severe food allergies and, thus, special dietary needs. Martha is excited to share her healthy dog treat recipes that she makes for Momo. She will also share some of the wonderful adventures they have had together, along with a few other short puppy tales.

We have written this book of dog food and treat recipes with stories of our experiences about our own dogs. It is our hope that our stories will be a pleasant way for you to understand the joy and importance of cooking for your own dog.

We also feel that what is needed to encourage people to help eliminate dog abuse is for them to hear stories of how we can have a warm and reciprocal relationship with the canine family and how abused and rescued dogs can be amazing family members.
